PDMWorks Enterprise Notes:

The PDMWorks Enterprise server components can run on workstations running XP, but in a production environment, SolidWorks Corporation requires the use of a server-specific operating system.
The minimum requirement is an absolute minimum. SolidWorks Corporation cannot guarantee system performance or behaviour for installations running on configurations not meeting the minimum recommended levels.
The hard drive requirements are solely dependent on the size of data stored in the system.
Therefore, the actual requirements can exceed the values in this recommendation.
The recommended configuration is based on a typical installation with approximately 20 users and approximately 60,000 stored documents.
Prerequisites for installing any PDMWorks Enterprise component are Windows Installer 3.1 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SQL_DMO backward-compatibility drivers. These are automatically installed when running the PDMWorks Enterprise setup.
If using an administrative install image for client deployment, these components will not be installed automatically.

PDMWorks Workgroup Vault: (1)

The CPU, Other, and Network requirements listed above plus the following:
-	Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003® (recommended)
-	Minimum: 512 MB RAM or greater, Recommended: 2GB
-	Minimum: 50 GB hard drive, Recommended: 100GB (requirements vary based on number of files, size of files, and number of revisions)

PDMWorks Workgroup Advanced Server: (1)

PDMWorks Vault server requirements plus the following:
-	API Triggers
	- Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) - Microsoft Message Queuing Triggers
-	Web Portal
	- Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.1 or later

Starting with SolidWorks 2007 SP2 for new license sales we will only ship DVDs containing both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of our products. No CDs will be shipped.

For new product orders, CDs can be requested during the remainder of the SolidWorks 2007 release. CDs sets can be ordered from your local reseller. Starting with SolidWorks 2008 the product will only be available on DVDs.
