| Course Outline : Day 1 |
- Background and Theory
Understand theory and definition of FEA.
- Pre and Post Processing in Cosmos/Works
Navigate COSMOSWORKS Interface. Apply Material Property definition. Apply loads and boundary conditions. Mesh the solid model. Run the analysis. Employ various methods to present FEA result. Manage COSMOSWorks result files.
- Static Analysis of a Part
Execute linear static analysis using solid elements. Use mesh controls. Analyze model in different SolidWorks configurations. Perform analysis of a multi body part.
- Shell Analysis
Perform structural analyses and analyze results using shell elements.
|
| Course Outline : Day 2 |
- Static Analysis of an Assembly
Perform structural analyses of assemblies. Analyze a shrink fit assembly.
- Contact / Gap Analysis
Apply global and local Contact/Gaps conditions in assembly. Perform contact stress analysis with the large displacement option. Use contact conditions with friction
- Simplify Analysis using Connectors
Use connectors to simplify COSMOSWorks analysis. Use various types of connectors (pin, bolt, spring, spot weld).
- Analysis using Design Scenarios
Use Design Scenarios to investigate different design configurations
